Registration Announced
Kindergarten
registration for the 2010 - 2011 school year for all children residing in the
Halifax County Schools attendance area is being held at each county elementary
school during the dates and hours listed below.
Parents may register their children at those times at the
appropriate school.
Children who are 5 years old on or before
August 31, 2010 are eligible to register for kindergarten.

Parents
and/or Guardians are asked to bring the child’s birth certificate,
immunization record, social security card, and documentation of residence,
such as a utility bill or some form that will have the actual 911 address for
routing buses.
Each child participating
in the Kindergarten program MUST HAVE
A PHYSICAL EXAMINATION within the first 30 days of school. Forms are now available at all elementary
schools and at the Halifax County Health Department.
As a reminder to all PreK parents, PreK students are required to register for Kindergarten.

Annual Enrollment for the State Health Plan starts March 15 and will end April 9. Please make sure you complete the enrollment form. There are changes in the rates. If you do not complete the forms or if you smoke you will be placed on the 70/30 plan. Mandatory Professional Development
All instructional staff members will have Professional Development Thursday, March 25, at assigned sites throughout the county.
Professional Development begins at 1:00 p.m. sharp and the day will come to a conclusion at 4:00 p.m.
