Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Daria Daniels-Johnson
I am a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro with nearly 15 years of educational experience. I am blessed to be employed with Halifax County Schools, the same district to which I attended as a child. I love inspiring young minds to develop their own passion for learning. My teaching career afforded me opportunities to impact the lives of learners at grades one through four throughout the district. In the past, I served kindergarten through second graders as a Reading Specialist. Serving as district liaison gave me great joy . I connected with community organizations to promote partnerships within the school setting. I have a personal passion for all things literacy.
As our society changes, I recognize the need to equip our students to become career and college ready so that they may attain and sustain jobs that will allow them to be globally competitive. As a result of my educational reading, I discovered that technology has become the new literacy. This reading lead me to acquire a strong interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Curriculum. Aside from my school responsibilities, I work with an educational consulting agency to provide camps and workshops to help bring awareness about STEM professions. “The Future Starts Here”! I am elated to be returning to the neighborhood school and look forward to working with students to ensure they are more than prepared for their bright futures ahead.
