My name is Pamela Benitez Turner. I am a native Spanish speaker from Chile. In 2010, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from Universidad del Mar, Chile. In 2018, I obtained a Master’s degree in TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, from Greensboro College in North Carolina. For the last ten years, I have worked educating students of various ages.

I taught English in Chile for five years. In the last five years of my teaching career, I have been teaching in North Carolina in the United States.  I worked for Wilson County Schools in the Spanish Immersion program. I taught kindergarten, first, and second grade at Frederick Douglass Elementary for three years. Though I loved working at Frederick Douglass Elementary in Elm City, NC, I moved to Halifax County where I've worked for the last two years in kindergarten for the Dual Language Program in Halifax, NC.

I have experience working with children of all ages. I love teaching my native language, Spanish,  and motivating my students to expand their knowledge in a second language. Whether in Chile or the United States, education is my driving force to continue growing as a professional and individual.
