Greetings fellow Hornets and parents,

I'm Mr. Cole and I would like to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year.  To provide a little background, I am a Hampton Roads native and grew up in Virginia Beach.  I attended Tidewater Community College and Old Dominion University, from which I earned my Bachelor's in Science.  This is my first year at Aurelian Springs, but my fifth year in Halifax County.  I've been living in North Carolina for a couple years, and prior to that, I commuted from Mecklenburg County in Virginia.  I enjoy watching college and professional basketball (UVA 2019 national champion) and football (college and pro) in my spare time.  My favorite college teams are Virginia, Wake Forest, and ODU.  My two favorite NBA teams are the San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards.

I entered the realm of EC teaching because it is my passion and I was almost placed in EC myself when I attended middle school.  I realize that we all learn differently, and that's part of what EC is all about, learning differently.  I look forward to working with you and your child this year as we embark upon a new journey together, in which we all will learn in our new normal.  Don't be a stranger and feel free to call with questions.
