Green Leaf Farm
Halifax County Schools prides itself in bringing opportunities to our students to help them become productive global residents with the help of our many partners. We realize that not all learning takes place in the classroom. Greenleaf Farm is an outdoor learning lab for our students enrolled in horticulture and agricultural science classrooms, but it also becomes an exploration activity for our business students interested in entrepreneurship and marketing. We look forward to enveloping our culinary arts students as we explore food processing and preparation.
Greenleaf Farm will work with our schools to enrich the connection communities have with fresh, healthy food and local foods producers by changing food purchasing and education practices within our area. Our goal is to not only nourish our childrens' bodies, but also their minds, while providing affordable fresh produce to families as we support local economies.
