Native American Heritage Month Celebration

November is Native American Heritage Month. The month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people.

In 1621, the Plymouth   colonists and Wampanoag   Indians shared an autumn  harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies.  For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving  were celebrated by individual colonies and states.

The Kindergarten students enjoyed participating in all of the activities during this month.  The students also enjoyed their Thanksgiving meal. We are so thankful for all of you.
