Mrs. Maribeth D. Aguila was born and raised in the Philippines. She is a certified Media Coordinator at William R. Davie Middle School and Everetts Elementary School.  Prior to her working in North Carolina She spent more than nine years as a certified School Media Librarian at Addelita Cancryn Junior High School in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.  She spent her 25 year of her career in the Philippines as a librarian.

          As Media Coordinator, she is in charge of the daily operation of the school's Media Center. She coordinates with the faculty and staff on the use of the library and technology in the classroom.  She also maintains the school webpage and social media, both Davie and Everetts.

          She was awarded as Employee of the Year 2014 by the Department of Education in St. Thomas/St. John District in the US Virgin Islands.  She was also a recipient of the Outstanding Alumni Award 2011 from the College of Education, University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. In the same year, she was awarded as Outstanding Academic Librarian by the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Libraries. 

          She earned her Bachelors Degree in Library Science from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. She graduated with a Master's Degree in Library Science from Centro Escolar University, Manila, Philippines, where her thesis was awarded as one of the Best Thesis. She served in several Library Association both in the Philippines and US Virgin Islands in different capacities, such as President, Vice President, Secretary, Board Member, etc.

           She is married to Domingo Aguila and has 2 daughters, Jesse and Lourdes.
