HCEC is the first A school in the Halifax County Schools District. 

This achievement is a testament to the collective efforts of our students, who continue to Strive for Five; the dedication of our teachers and staff to create an enriching learning environment; and the support of our parents and families to ensure learning continues at home.  It truly takes a village.
