Welcome Back Panthers!

Dear Enfield Middle S.T.E.A.M. Academy Parents/Guardians,

It gives me great pleasure to serve as principal of Enfield Middle S.T.E.A.M. Academy for another year. Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year. Parents/ guardians, I would like to thank you for allowing us to serve your child. It is a responsibility and privilege I do not take lightly. I am eager to begin year two to work collaboratively to focus on the needs of our scholars.

We will continue to provide a rigorous learning environment for each child that personalizes learning. We will focus on helping each child develop by meeting their social, emotional, mental, physical, behavioral, and academic needs. Our scholars will have opportunities to learn and discover leadership skills to thrive in the 21st century.

I am excited about the start of the upcoming academic year. Do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. It’s going to be a great year!

Ms. Linda Cooper, Principal

Important Cell Phone Information

  • Dear Parents/Guardians,

Cell phones continue to be a distraction during the school day. We are focused on helping your son or daughter succeed.  We need your help with accomplishing this goal.  Halifax County Board Policy 4318 states students are permitted to possess such devices on school property so long as the devices are not activated, used, displayed, or visible during the instructional day or as otherwise directed by school rules or school personnel. School employees may immediately confiscate any wireless communication device in use, displayed, or visible in violation of this policy. Based on this policy, students at Enfield Middle S.T.E.A.M. Academy may bring their devices, but they will be collected during their first block and returned at the end of the school day.  Your child may also choose to leave their device at home.  If we need to communicate with you regarding your child, we will call you. In the case of an emergency and you need to contact your child, the school number is (252) 445-5455. Any student refusing to turn in their device will face the following consequences:

    • 1st offense - call parent, and parent has to get the phone
    • 2nd offense - call parent, the parent has to get the phone, and the phone stays home
    • 3rd offense - OSS due to non-compliance

By working together, we hope to refocus students on instruction and limit outside distractions during the school day. If you have questions or concerns about cell phone procedures, do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you for understanding.
