Greetings Family,

It is with great honor and humbleness to be your child’s Social Studies Teacher here at Halifax County Early College. I have been working in the educational profession for 17 years and truly looking forward to continuing this experience. I am a graduate of Saint Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Virginia, with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Sociology and minor in Liberal Arts. In 2006, my educational career began with Halifax Community College as an Outreach Counselor. I then transitioned to Palm Beach State College (West Palm Beach, FL) where I worked as an Academic Advisor for 12years. I shifted gears once again to the Palm Beach County School District where I gained my experience in secondary education teaching grades 9-12.

I am enthusiastic to share my knowledge to educate our students as they continue their educational journey. As we transition through the Covid-19 process we will harness the energy of in person learning environments by building relationships to operate safe, positive and welcoming learning spaces. I will utilize a variety of instructional strategies in teaching this class. Some include, but are not limited to:  Direct instruction using Google Classroom and ZOOM, and the Edmentum online class.  I look forward to building lasting relationships.
