Educational Philosophy and Leadership Approach:
With over twenty-two years of experience in education, I have consistently prioritized professional growth through various development initiatives and personal learning opportunities. My leadership philosophy has been significantly shaped by my training as a transformational leader, which I have actively applied during my 13-year tenure as a principal. Throughout my career, I have led across all educational levels, including elementary, middle, and high school, and oversaw the high school early college program.
I am currently a doctoral candidate at East Carolina University, which further underscores my commitment to lifelong learning and my dedication to advancing my expertise in educational leadership. I prioritize staying abreast of the latest trends and research, continually enhancing my effectiveness as an administrator. My extensive participation in NCPAPA programs—such as the Distinguished Leader in Practice and Blended Learning for Schools—along with attending Title I and Magnet Schools of America conferences, has further refined my leadership capabilities.
The opportunity to return to Halifax County Early College as a dedicated leader is incredibly exciting. I am fully committed to fostering the continued growth and success of the students, staff, and the overall program.
