Consequences
Failure to Follow These Rules May Result in the Following:
1st Consequence: Verbal or Nonverbal Correction
2nd Consequence: Student/Teacher Conference, loss of privilege, time-out
3rd Consequence: Parent Contact (during non-instructional time)
4th Consequence: Parent/Student/Teacher Conference (plus administrator when requested)
5th Consequence: Office Referral
**Severe Discipline Problems that are sent to the office immediately:
- Fighting
- Stealing
- Endangering Others
- Physically Threatening Others
**Time-Out
- Length of time in Time-Out should be equivalent to the student’s age (ex. 5 year’s old=5 minutes in Time-Out)
- Have a Time-Out area predetermined in your classroom
- Have students complete a meaningful activity during the Time-Out time (reflection sheet, letter to parent or teacher, picture graph of what led to misbehavior, etc.)
