I am Leena Leona Vincent..I have been teaching  English and Social Studies in India  for over 2 decades.Teaching has been my passion .I am grateful to the Halifax County for giving me an opportunity to teach ELA at  Enfield Middle STEAM Academy. 

When it comes to teaching, I believe it is about developing strong relationships that tap into students' passions and provide relevancy to students and allows them to make connections with the curriculum. I try to figure out what is best for students in all decisions and I model lifelong learning in my personal and professional life. I am highly motivated, enthusiastic and  a dedicated educator who wants all children to be successful learners. I am committed to creating a classroom atmosphere that is stimulating and encouraging to students. I believe education is one of the most important tools a person can have in life. Every child deserves to receive the best education possible. It has always been my passion to help each child discover their individual God given gifts and talents and to reach their full potential.I believe that we are all life-long learners and so, it is important that I reflect daily on what was successful and what could have gone better. 

In addition to it, teaching gives me the chance to make a difference in someone else’s life — and that’s something that money just can’t buy! When you are able to inspire someone else and watch them grow as an individual, it is incredibly rewarding.
