Welcome to 8th Grade Science! 

Dear students and parents, I am thrilled to welcome you to an exciting new school year in Grade 8 Science! This year, I am delighted to introduce my passion and dedication to teaching Science at this level.I am equipped with a profound love for the natural world and a commitment to fostering curiosity while developing future scientists, engineers, psychologists, laboratory technicians, chemists, biologists, environmentalists and hydrologists, to name a few. I am extremely eager to guide our students through an engaging exploration of scientific concepts.

Who am I?

I hold a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Science and am currently doing a Masters in Education in Instructional Design and Technology. I am a native of Jamaica who has 24 years of experience teaching in elementary, middle, high schools and also adults. My teaching philosophy revolves around hands-on learning, critical thinking, and encouraging students to make the best of themselves. I believe that science is not just a subject but a way of understanding the world around us and creating opportunities for ourselves, our families and our communities. With that being said, it is my intention to assist in the academic growth and development  of our scholars, and help them in selecting long-term opportunities that will provide a solid foundation for many years to come.
