Halifax County Schools, in partnership with Bordeaux Construction, is excited to offer a special opportunity for families, alumni, and supporters to leave a lasting legacy at the new Eastman School. In honor of the rich history and significance of the old Eastman School, we are incorporating original bricks from Eastman’s Gym and Administrative Buildings into the new school’s design. The skilled team at Bordeaux Construction will use these bricks to build a commemorative walking path, preserving and honoring the legacy of Eastman School for future generations.
Starting today, personalized bricks are available for purchase, each one engraved with a name, message, or commemorative inscription —up to 17 characters. Each brick, including engraving, is available for $50. The engraved messages can celebrate milestones, honor loved ones, or simply share a personal note, making each brick a unique tribute.
Construction on the new Eastman School is progressing smoothly. The foundation has been completed, and the framework for the building is now taking shape. As we move forward, the next steps include finalizing the interior and exterior.
