We are thrilled to congratulate the exceptional students of Everetts Elementary STEM Academy for being officially inducted into the Student Government Association (SGA) during a memorable ceremony at the Halifax County Courthouse. This unique and enriching experience provided our students with a firsthand look at local government.
The ceremony was held on Monday, February 24th, and our students were honored to be officially installed into the SGA, an opportunity that will empower them to serve as leaders within their school community. This special occasion was made even more meaningful by the presence of the Honorable Judge Teresa Freeman, who graciously hosted the event and led the induction ceremony. Her words of encouragement and inspiration were a highlight for all involved, leaving a lasting impact on the students.
“We are incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and dedication to becoming leaders,” said Chastity Kinsey, Principal of Everetts Elementary STEM Academy. “This experience shows how important it is to be a leader, get involved, and contribute to the community. We are grateful to Judge Teresa Freeman for her kindness and generosity in making this event possible for our students.”
The event provided students with an understanding of the responsibilities of government officials, while also instilling a sense of pride and accomplishment as they begin their journey as student leaders. We extend our deepest thanks to Judge Freeman for making this event such a memorable experience, and we look forward to seeing the future achievements of our student leaders.
